In the past year, Quixtar and IBOs contributed more than $830,000 to Easter Seals. Donations by Quixtar are meant to support children, as part of Alticor's global One By One program to help children live better lives. That's why Quixtar also has supported the PayKids Foundation in Michigan, which gets "deadbeat" parents to provide support to their kids, and another organization (to be announced) that ensures needy schoolchildren are getting their nutritional needs met. More on that later.
Anyway, as a national sponsor of Easter Seals, Quixtar is the Presenting Sponsor of Walk With Me, which basically are walk-a-thon type fundraisers that bring the organization's supporters and beneficiaries together. As a result, participants in a Walk With Me event come into contact with a lot of the kids who are benefitting from Easter Seals' services. This event provides an incredible emotional tie to the Easter Seals cause. Thousands of IBOs participated in Walk With Me events in more than 50 cities in 2004. Next year, the program will expand and provide even more opportunities for IBOs to participate -- no matter where they are.
There are lots of reasons for Quixtar employees to come to work and for Quixtar-powered IBOs to build their businesses. Support for Easter Seals is one more incredible reason to make all involved in Quixtar proud of their affiliation.
