Birthday Boy

Yesterday was my son's 13th birthday.  Conner is such a cool kid.  The night before, Kari and I went to Parent Conferences and all of his teachers Birthday Boytalked glowingly about Conner. "He makes a real effort in the classroom" was the best comment.  Conner has been known to be loud and disruptive in school before (I think I was too) but now is really under control. One teacher said that there are others who continue to be disruptive and Conner has the opportunity to join them, but chooses instead to be focused in class.  YAY!  Parents couldn't ask for any more than that!

Anyway, he's turning into such a mature young man.  His gift yesterday?  A Nano iPod.  Much nicer than the little iPod Shuffle I got a few years ago.  Sigh.  But his gift to us has been much better than anything we could possibly buy him.

I just bought my first ever iPod (the red one) a month ago.  I love it.

Congrats to Conner...sounds a lot like me at that age :)
