Spring Break in Dallas and Milwaukee??
Tuesday, April 03, 2007
This week is quiet at Quixtar, as many staff are gone with their kids for Spring Break. Here in West Michigan, all the K-12 programs are on break.
My family didn't plan a getaway this year and, frankly, the weather has been so nice the past couple weeks, it didn't really seem like one would be necessary. It took a turn for the nasty today, however, with torrential rains (that apparently may turn to snow by week's end). My daughter went with a friend to stay in Chicago, so she's going to have some fun in the Windy (and Rainy) City. We will pick her up on our way to spend Easter Weekend with family in the burbs of Milwaukee.
BUT, I've had to SQUEEZE in a quick trip to Dallas this week to speak at a seminar hosted by VideoPlus (the publisher of Success From Home Magazine). Another Alticor exec was supposed to participate in a panel discussion but had to cancel due to a family health situation. So, time for me to roll out the suitcase and get on a jet plane for a nice 24-hour in-and-out to Dallas. The good thing is that I need to meet with some folk down there anyway about our next issue of the magazine, due on newsstands Nov. 1.
I hope to post again later this week, but if not .... Happy Easter to all!
