Walk With Me 2007

Tonight more than 650 Alticor employees and family members will several IBO groups and hundreds (if not thousands) of others in the third annual West Michigan "Walk With Me" event to benefit Easter Seals.
Leyla Kayi, who writes the One By One blog, coordinates Quixtar's One By One Campaign for Children programs and made it her goals to double employee participation. Well, she's close to tripling her numbers from last year, which is just phenomenal. Jim Payne is the Honorary Chair for the Walk With Me event here in Grand Rapids and has participated each year (even two years ago when the walk coincided with the Michigan-Michigan State game, for which he had tickets).
As a national sponsor, Quixtar is featured at ALL Easter Seal "Walk With Me" events across the nation. Not only is it a great way for people to support an organization that does so much to help people with disabilities, it provides an opportunity to visibly demonstrate to the community that this business has a heart! Seeing, as we have, hundreds of IBOs participating at some of the Walk With Me events, tells people that the Quixtar business really cares about others.
It also helps generate stronger belief and confidence in our business when you participate in the event and see Quixtar's name on the front of every t-shirt handed out to walk participants, Quixtar's name on the starting line and at the finish line, Quixtar's logo featured in billboard advertising.
This year, the GR event will be held at John Ball Park Zoo. This is another one of the reasons this year's event is so popular. Not only do you get to walk in support of Easter Seals, meet some of the kids that Easter Seals has helped, and enjoy time spent with a lot of your friends, you get to check out the zoo for free (and free hot dogs too!!).
