Opportunity Zone in DSN Article
Wednesday, October 31, 2007

Check out the most recent issue of Direct Selling News for an article (Social Media: Word of Mouth in the Digital Age) that features the Opportunity Zone, based on interviews of Beth Dornan and myself. Of course, I think it's wonderful because we're in it, but it does a good job of outlining what our experience has been this year here in the Zone.

Has it been 100% successful?  Not yet, in my opinion. But have we started a dialog about our business that didn't exist before? Yes. Well, there has been a dialog before, but we've not usually been a part of it. That has changed and we must continue to make every effort to engage everyone who has strong opinions about our business -- pro or con. It's important to know what we're doing right and what we're doing wrong based on the direct feedback of IBOs, consumers, and others.

Thanks to all of you for your continued participation in the Opportunity Zone.  Oh, and thanks to everyone who has invited me to be their Facebook friends!  It's exciting to see the IBO community growing there as well.

Robin, great article in DSN. Speaking of which, is the new Quixtar issue of 'Success From Home' still on schedule for launch Nov. 1?

With appreciation,

Editor's Note:  Yup!  It's in our warehouses ready for you to order, and on the magazine racks at Barnes & Noble, Borders, and many other fine bookstores. I hope you enjoy this tool and use it in your business!!  RL

Robin, I'm surprised that there has been no notice of "now available" at "What's New" on the Quixtar home page. Did I miss the announcement? And no email notice from Marketing.

Also very surprised that you are pricing it 17% higher in Canada for the exact same edition... $42 CDN vs. $36 US for a ten-pack. Since that price does not include shipping or tax, why the gouge (again) on Canadian pricing? It's not that I can't afford $6 extra bucks for the 10-pack, it's the gouging principle that plays out across all of the Quixtar products including those which are identical to ones sold in the US, as I've posted on before. :(
